Around about the 2nd century AD there was a style for Roman bracelets made by twisting bands of wire together, and ornamenting with a either square or round cut stones.
 
This is my take on these elegantly simple, but beautiful, bangles. I've used silver plated wirerather than gold, and Luster Rose/Gold Topaz glass tile beads.
